Hello and welcome!

Back in March-during the start of lockdown amid COVID-19 in the UK I( Emma) decided to start a travel Instagram account to share my pictures and experiences from some of the amazing places I have visited. Now here we are! Heading into week 15 of lockdown I decided it’s time I document my adventures!

My travel journeys start with the incredible opportunities I get to travel, being a teacher I am fortunate to be able to use half terms and holidays to go and explore the world. Even more so fortunate that both my partner and my sister are also teachers who love to travel so I always have someone I can drag along with me to take my picture! (and of course to share these memories with)

I live in the UK, and am guilty of not dedicating enough time to explore the wonders that the UK has to offer, but this is definitely on my bucket list.
My desire to travel combines perfectly with my second love of History, as a trained history teacher I find my travels fuel my teaching and my teaching fuels my travel. To immerse myself in the culture and experiences of people all over the world to then share this with students back home is a unique luxury!

As mentioned above, one of the highlights of travelling is getting to share the adventures with the people I love most.

My boyfriend Daniel, is the perfect travel companion as he goes with the flow and basically let’s me plan what I want!

His main job is picking places to eat and finding exciting things to do! We have seen some amazing places so far and hopefully have our next adventure coming up in October!

My sister Jo- also a teacher, has been there on some of the most amazing trips! We have backpacked both Asia and Europe together, blog posts to follow!

Along with being sisters we are also best friends and are similar in what we enjoy, therefore, we tend to (most the time) find the perfect balance when we are away of activities we will both enjoy. However, as the older sister, Jo does take sole responsibility for planning as I can’t be trusted with major planning decisions!

Hopefully that gives a small insight into who I am and why I am creating this blog!

Please check in to see my top tips, experiences and recommendations!

Next adventure soon to follow, keep your eyes peeled!
